   Civil litigator with a wide range of experience in complex litigation, infividual and class actions. Significant experience with various commercial litigation matters and a particular emphasis on \"science\" based matters such as products liability and environmental matters including but not limited to ones in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries. Extensive experience in all aspects of commercial and products liability litigation including assessment of cases, counseling to avoid litigation, handling pre-litigation claims, and managing matters through litigation and appeals including service on trial teams for lengthy and complex trials. Routinely manage teams of attorneys and non-lawyers and prepare witnesses, including expert and senior management for deposition and trial testimony. Extensive experience with alternative dispute resolution; completed a 40 hour training program to serve as a mediator and have mediated successful resolutions for dozens of matters. Serve as the firmwide Professional Growth and Development Partner and oversee the professional development of H&K attorneys from \"recruitment to retirement.\" Position includes responsibility for oversight of H&K\'s recruiting and retention efforts, non-partner compensation and evaluations, partnership admissions, and training and mentoring for all attorneys. Co-lead the firm’s Emerging Leaders program for senior associates. Also participate in performance management oversight and as a member of the firmwide management practice and operations committee and have served on the partner compensation committee.Co-founder and co-coordinator of H&K\'s Rising Star program - an annual leadership and business development training program for selected senior women attorneys. The Rising Star program is in its 21st year, has a proven track record of success, and received the Chambers USA award for Most Innovative Gender Diversity Initiative.
