I am delighted to be appointed a Non-Executive Director of Realise Futures, a Community Interest Company.Realise Futures is a social enterprise. All profits are reinvested into the company to create more jobs and learning opportunities for people who are at a distance from the labour market across the areas in which the company operates. It trades with an ethical and environmental purpose, trying to do right by people and the planet. Success is measured not only by revenue generated but by the positive impact the company has on the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, the community and on the environment.Over 1/3 of the paid staff have a learning or other disability.
