About Dean Vonderheide

I was caucused in as Mayor of Jasper, Indiana and have served in that capacity since January, 2019. I was unopposed in the fall of 2019 and thus have begun my first full term as Mayor. Prior to and during my first three years in the elected role as Council Member-at Large for the City I also served as President of the Jasper Public Library and as a partner in an agricultural company, White River Hops, LLC. I have a solid background with experience in leading business units, sales and operations and in developing a rich corporate culture which values continuous improvement, innovation, organizational development, corporate social responsibility, safety, sustainability and facilities maintenance globally. I have been responsible for the P&L, sales and operational metrics at a Business Unit and at the Group level. I have also led plant closures, acquisition and integration teams and the spin of Kimball Electronics as a separate publicly traded company. I no longer maintain my certification as a Global Professional in Human Resources (Certified GPHR). In addition to my career leadership roles I’ve also served as President of the Indiana University “I Men’s Association”, President of the Board of the the Jasper Public Library, and President of the Council at Trinity U.C.C. My personal mission is to be a positive influence for others and to help them achieve success. Specialties: I add the most value as a leader, as a catalyst to change in an organization. My background as a leader is based on my trust in people, built off their desire to be successful and their alignment and engagement in executing to well constructed challenges.
