He has a particular expertise in housing and related administrative law, having built his early practice advising and representing local authorities, housing providers and tenants in the Court of Appeal, High Court and county courts. Dean has since developed a broad public law practice, which covers homelessness, housing allocation, licensing. Dean has a particular interest in the regulation and licensing of the private rented sector and is currently writing \"Cornerstone on mandatory, additional and selective licensing\". Valued for his attention to detail, Dean is instructed by solicitors ranked by Chambers & Partners as leaders in their field. He is a member of the Administrative Law Bar Association, Property Bar Association and Social Housing Law Association and provides training in all aspects of housing and related public law.
