ABOUT DEAN TURNEY

Born in Canada, I’ve lived and worked in Australia and Singapore. But London is my home. This is where I started out, at Saatchi & Saatchi, Charlotte Street. And this is where I am 30-plus years later, now an independent copywriter. I write everything from brand advertising to customer relationship marketing and web content. I’ve won awards for it, including a rare gold one: a D & AD Black Pencil. I work with agencies and my own clients (local and overseas), who range from start-ups to multinationals. These clients have included Amazon, Google, Headspace, government departments, and NGOs such as the Commonwealth Secretariat. Most are SMEs. They span a wide range of market sectors, with lots of financial services and B2B tech. I can be a standalone writer or, if you need concepts or graphics, I can team up with one of my longstanding creative partners, or your own. So why am I a copywriter? Because I enjoy helping clients solve brand and marketing problems. I like working with words and ideas to build bridges that connect you (or your brand) with your audience. And I seem to be good at it, going by the feedback and repeat business I get.
