About Deanna Zandt
My current work involves implementing the founding principles of effective social media strategies that I\'ve been pioneering for over 20 years. Having retired from senior consulting positions for organizations like Planned Parenthood, the Ford Foundation and more, I now find great joy in deploying and fine-tuning strategies for nonprofits and advocacy organizations in need of a thoughtful, skilled writer and graphic designer.

In early 2023, we resigned the print publication of the Hightower Lowdown, and migrated all of our current content to Substack. I\'m now in charge of editorial scheduling, archival material, creating new/compelling content, posting to social media, producing a podcast, and so much more. It\'s awesome, and we have a blast together-Interweb emissary description: I manage all-things-web for the Hightower properties; this includes keeping content updated, providing user support, working with social media, maintaining the Wordpress install, and more-In 2006, we relaunched the Hightower Lowdown and Jim Hightower\'s own site to be community-involved sites featuring buzzword-compliant technologies and doodads like Drupal, commenting, podcasting, blogging, tagging and more. I was the designer of both sites, and am the ongoing whipmistress and marketing grrl/web maven.
