Few positions can have as much impact as working with youth and tying education and mentoring together is a powerful and effective combination. I head up our mentor2.0 program pairing professionals with high school students to guide them on a college and career readiness journey. I also have launched the High School Leadership Program (HSLP) Pilot program that pairs high schoolers in a teaching cadet program with elementary students. There is guided curriculum and not only do the cadets get real teaching and classroom experience, the elementary mentees benefit from honing scholastic and social emotional learning skills.
