My name is Deanna Huertas, I am a Systems Engineer currently working as an Operations Program Manager with Medtronic.I am a champion for Diversity in STEM and actively mentor and volunteer with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. I currently serve an Early Talent recruiter for Supply Chain/Operations and as Chapter Advisor for 3 Student Chapters across the nation, including my alma mater at USF. Upon graduation from the University of South Florida, I pursued a career in a fast paced environment with large amounts of ambiguity and freedom of thought. The GE Healthcare Operations Management Leadership Program in Supply Chain/Operations was a perfect fit. I discovered my strengths in team leadership through interpersonal relationships and an optimistic can do attitude. My greatest successes in GE Healthcare were the times when I was able to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty with operators in the manufacturing facilities to meet our team goals and timelines. After completion of OMLP, I have maintained a continuous learning mindset and pursued new opportunities where I could bring an outside perspective while challenging myself to learn something new and uncomfortable. As a result, I have experienced challenges and teams that required me to adapt and grow quickly. I have worked with sales and hospitals to enhance the customer installation experience, I\'ve strengthened cross-border operations by working onsite at El Paso-Juarez, MX, I have led a team of brilliant engineers to understand LEAN in every day life and execute a speed to market manufacturing strategy.
