ABOUT DEANNA NOWELL
Deanna Nowell is an award-winning television & film editor. She began her career at Turner Studios as a promo editor for TBS, TNT & Cartoon Network. While at Turner she also did additional editing for the Emmy Award-winning show Inside the NBA. After many years of simultaneously working at Turner and editing indie film shorts & features, Nowell received the opportunity to edit Three Can Play that Game (Sony/Rainforest Films). Currently, she has transitioned to scripted content. Some of Nowell’s notable credits include Raising Dion Season 2 (Netflix), Ambitions (OWN Network, Will Packer Media) Young Dylan (Nickelodeon), Superstition (SyFy Network), Sistas (BET/TPS), Alpha Man: The Brotherhood of MLK (BET) Cheating The Stillness: The World Of Julia Peterkin (Lightfoot Films), The Battle (BobbCat Films/ESPNU) and Echo at 11 Oak Drive (Symmetry Entertainment). Nowell grew up on the Westside of Chicago, IL, earned a BA in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University, and currently resides in Atlanta, GA. She is a dedicated mother, creative, and is highly respected in the television and film industry.
