Hi, I’m Deanna — a Senior Software Engineer with a background in education, nonprofit leadership, and cross-platform development. I currently work on ad systems spanning mobile, video, and web, contributing to scalable, high-impact features across platforms used by millions. My stack includes TypeScript, React, React Native, Java, Node.js, GraphQL, and other technologies that help turn complex problems into meaningful, performant solutions — but what sets me apart is how I work with people, not just technologies.Before tech, I earned a Master’s in Education, studied neuroscience, and founded a national harm reduction nonprofit where I lead initiatives in training, safety consulting, and community wellness across nightlife and festival spaces. My work in tech, education, and public health is driven by a deep commitment to equity, safety, and building systems—whether technical or human—that uplift others.I bring a people-first mindset to everything I do: from mentoring early-career engineers and improving onboarding processes, to facilitating peer support spaces and speaking on inclusive practices.
