ABOUT DEAN MAHER

With decades of professional experience, I have developed a diverse and versatile skill set in publishing, financial analysis, community engagement, and project management. I am passionate about delivering results, mitigating risks, and fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders. As a Financial Analyst at Rogers Communications, I focused on identifying and addressing revenue risks and opportunities for Rogers and Fido\'s consumer and business lines. I used my analytical and reporting skills to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and helped Rogers achieve its financial goals. Prior to that, I was the President, Publisher, Creative Director, and Editor-in-Chief of 416 Mag, a print and digital magazine that highlighted local food, attractions, and culture in downtown Toronto. I leveraged my background in community engagement and my relationships with the Toronto business community to publish a magazine that reached over readers and generated revenue from national and local advertisers. I also launched two video social media pages, 416 Mag videos and SoGay.ca, tailored to the Toronto LGBTQ community, which I am proud to be part of. I am also an experienced community leader and advocate, having founded and served as the Managing Director of the CityPlace Residents\' Association, a not-for-profit corporation that represents over residents in one of the largest urban developments in Canada. I designed and implemented programs and events that enhanced the quality of life and social cohesion of the community, and advocated for its interests and needs at various levels of government and with private developers. I am looking for new opportunities to apply my skills and expertise in publishing, financial analysis, or community engagement, and to contribute to the success of organizations that share my values and vision. I am a creative, driven, and adaptable professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence.
