I am a highly skilled qualifed accountant as a CPA (Australia) & CA. I\'ve held numerous Accounting roles providing me with a wealth of experience. I love to learn and exceed expectations as I set very high standards for achievement. Knowledge is power but you need to know when and to use that power effectively. I enjoy challenges at work as this helps my professional development. However, one of my key attributes is Professional Skepticism.Professional skepticism relates to validating information through probing questions, critical assessment of evidence and attention to red flags and inconsistencies. Most professional accountants have in-built professional skepticism. I apply this naturally both in my career and my personal life. In lay-mans terms, it means if something doesn\'t add up, we probe into why, what, & how, and link the pieces of information together. I instinctively do this, without realising it and it is a critical skill for professional accountants. Professional skepticism is an attribute that only highly skilled accountants possess.Professional skepticism is important for analysing situations as they arise. I can read body language, interpret what a person says or does and know how to communicate effectively. I choose my communication method based on what message I wish to convey and my audience.Proud to be a CPA Aust and CA of Cook Island descent!
