As the Director of Loss Prevention for House of Dank, a growing chain of 13 dispensaries in Michigan, I oversee the development and execution of comprehensive loss prevention strategies across all locations. With a focus on risk management, asset protection, employee training, and inventory control, I ensure that both physical and financial security measures are in place to safeguard the company’s assets.As the sole loss prevention professional in the organization, I have a unique role that combines executive decision-making with hands-on implementation. I work cross-functionally with leadership teams to create and maintain a safe, compliant, and profitable retail environment.In my role, I have successfully developed and implemented policies and procedures that reduce theft, minimize loss, and increase operational efficiency. Additionally, I provide strategic guidance on physical security compliance with state regulations, ensuring that all locations are operating within Michigan’s cannabis industry requirements. Eliminated theft that totaled $1.9 million in lost product sales.
