ABOUT DEANA RICHARDSON

Deana Richardson is an educator, advocate, author, and Direct Support Professional who is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and understood. She previously worked as a teacher and IT coordinator, combining education with technology to support student learning.She currently works in human services, supporting individuals with diverse needs while expanding her professional training in applied behavior analysis as she completes certification requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).Richardson is also the creator of the children’s publishing imprint Little Learning Books, which focuses on gentle, supportive books that help children understand emotions and build social-emotional awareness. Her book Growing Little Feelings: A Gentle Activity Book is designed especially for sensitive and neurodivergent children.In addition to her work in education and publishing, she has spent several years representing herself pro se in a complex Massachusetts probate case involving her family’s estate. Through extensive research, document analysis, and court filings, she has navigated legal procedures typically handled by attorneys, advocating for transparency, accountability, and the protection of vulnerable family members’ rights. This experience became the foundation for her upcoming memoir about persistence, truth, and standing up within a system that can often feel inaccessible to ordinary people.Her work reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, integrity, and empowering others to ask questions, seek truth, and speak up when something isn’t right.
