Project: Seamlessly bring Engineering changes through into Operations This involved interpretating complex changes influencing high voltage asset monitoring products, from applied science, software, mechanical and electrical engineering functions and how they would materialise on the shop floor, considering validity updates in test rig equipment, Material Resource Planning system changes and the chronology, manufacturing and build documentation, quality control, and operation training. This considered compatibility, obsoletion, management of rework and MRP updates to ensure consumption of existing material. Leading Lean, I guided and executed lean improvements, across the operations teams and departments. This involved the intake of new apprentices and students, consideration of duplicability of improvements across departments and leading by example. Trained in Kata methodology, overseeing and being a contributor to kata sessions, completed a major overhaul of data mapping Kanban to Direct Line feed, over parts across 21 product lines.

ABOUT DEAN YOUNG
I\'m an Operations Change Lead within Camlin Group, based in Lisburn. I\'m building up a skillset in Engineering Change Management. I learnt the abstract in Ulster University\'s Engineering Management course, and supplemented this with a degree in Corporate and Investing Finance so as to understand where a business fits in its environmental landscape. In practise, I\'m leading alignment of internal operations to maximise adaptability to change, cost based efficiency and continually improve footholds in competitive advantages.
