About Dean Truitt
My wife, Glenda, and I are originally from Western Oklahoma. We dated in high school and married in college in 1958. We have three grown children, nine grown grandchildren and ten great grandchildren living in several different cites. Education: Dean - Industrial Engineering from University of Oklahoma Glenda – Elementary Education from University of Oklahoma Business Career: Dean - Industrial Real-Estate Development and Petrochemical Industries Glenda – Family Business Manager Locations: Omaha, Amarillo, Okla. City, Sacramento, Foster City (Bay Area), Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and Austin. Most Recent Company: Co-Founder of US Development Group Retired from active management in 2006 Our primary life focus has been our relationship with Christ and participation in our local church as teachers and small group leaders as well as in other evangelism groups including Campus Crusade, Navigators and Alpha. Having lived in many different cities, we have been provided with wonderful church experiences. First as volunteers and then after retiring from business in 2006, Dean joined the staff of Gateway Church in Houston as the volunteer coordinator running the Alpha Course full time for several years. In 2009, we moved to Phoenix and joined the Alpha Regional Team supporting churches in Arizona. We engage in these activities through our two non-profit organizations: DKG Foundation, a private foundation; and The Life Connection, a public charity for Christian evangelism. Our passion is leading people into a Life Connection with God.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.It runs in churches, bars, coffee shops and homes all around the globe. Typically, Alpha has around ten sessions and includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts.Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage debate and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, honest and informal environment.
