About Dean Smith

Prior to Grover Gaming, much of my career has been spent in the Pharma industry developing applications, project management, and leading IT teams. Most recently, I was the Sr. Director of Product development with a team of 140 while also being the Director of Engineering and responsible for the DOS team (Development Operations Support). In just 4 years, we went from 2 products to over 10 core products launched across many new regulated markets within the US. Starting at 38 team members we grew to 140 and created two game studios in the process. The number of supported technologies grew with multiple databases, languages, tools, utilities, and operating systems related to legacy systems plus newly development platforms. Hardware that we supported through our software also grew at an accelerated pace. We also added a new software development team through acquisition in Illinois. Our team created the first SOPs, Change Control, Adoption of ADO, project Management team and put a complete structure around development. What I am most proud of is the teamwork and culture we built within our development group which made these accomplishments possible!
