I am required to conduct vibration tests/ measurements on \'first of kind\' turbines, compressors, blades and generators to identify vibration modes/ frequencies to ensure compatibility with FE calculations/ predictions. In addition to this measurements are also carried out on \'in service\' equipment which includes conducting tests on site in nuclear, gas and coal fired power stations. Job role also demands regular worldwide travel.Field of measurements include rotor dynamics, blade vibration, tip timing, valve vibration and fault diagnostics of existing plant.
