OutlineTo aid the development of the inhouse production facility and take responsibility for inhouse prototype projects. Providing a one stop shop for all prototype demands where joinery is a key element and be the ambassador for internal prototype development at RTC.Key Responsibilities• Attend inhouse briefing sessions called by Account Management/Project Management / Design development to ensure internal prototype demands are fully understood and agreed. Agree milestones and all internal meeting dates.• Agree the full process with the department heads of the modelshop and Assembly and set expectations to ensure there is no ambiguity with regards to the finishing, assembly, and presentation of the final prototype.• Support operational internal teams (estimating and modelshop) with engineering support. • Communicate costs, timings, and project progress to internal teams to ensure there are no surprises against budget.• Take responsibility for the ordering of everything needed to complete the prototype, accepting there is resource in place to support with raising purchase orders.• Liaise with and drive external suppliers to ensure the prototype delivery date is met.• Log and monitor all project spend on materials and labour, present at the internal prototype presentation review meeting.• Attend relevant prototype client meetings to support the Account Managers.• Communicate all relevant modelshop manufacturing information to the nominated Account Manager / Project Manager / Development Designer.• Develop the modelshop CNC capabilities and develop the CNC operator from an engineering perspective.• Own, control and manage the internal prototype presentation space in Unit 1. Ensuring Account / Project and Development management teams take responsibility for removing and correctly storing / disposing of all equipment.

I currently work in the retail fixture design industry. I can use the following software: SOLIDWORKS, PTC CREO and Microsoft Office to an advance level.
