About Dean Papadopoulos
My name is Dean Papadopoulos, and I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but living in New York, NY. I am a W.A. Franke Honors Graduate from the University of Arizona\'s Eller College of Management, where I earned bachelor\'s degrees in Finance and Accounting, along with a certificate in Sports Management. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was honored as an Eller Centurion, an elite cohort recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and service. As a double major in Finance and Accounting, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of financial statements, financial accounting, financial modeling, research, and projections. I am particularly interested in Portfolio Management, Valuations, Financial Projections, and Equity Research. I have experience using Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv to analyze and interpret data. My projects and coursework have included numerous company valuations, as well as participation in the CFA Research Challenge. In this competition, my team produced a comprehensive group report and presentation on an individual company, placing 2nd in the Desert US division. While in college, I gained valuable career experience through various internships. During my sophomore year, I worked part-time as an Accounting Intern at M3 Engineering and Technology Corp, an engineering and construction firm in Tucson, Arizona. In the summer of 2022, I served as a Financial Controls Intern at Western Alliance Bank in Phoenix, Arizona. The following summer, I worked as an External Audit Intern at PwC in their New York office, specifically in the Asset and Wealth Management group. In September 2024, I began working full-time at PwC in New York, NY, as an Assurance Associate in the Asset and Wealth Management sector. My client experience includes Registered Investment Funds (RICs), ETFs, Hedge Funds, and Fund of Funds. I am actively pursuing my CPA license in the State of New York, and have passed all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination.
