There are many \'one man band\' aerial drone services around, but we believe very strongly at Overdrones that the demands on the pilot are so high that for both safety and image quality reasons we must always run with a minimum on site of pilot PLUS camera operator = 2 crew. Qualified to BNUC-S standard (recognised by the CAA), I am the Chief Pilot of the drones (UAVs) and, with 35 years flying experience, responsible in the widest sense for all flight operations - whilst our Director (the Head Cam Op) also acts as the creative director and therefore ensures the shoot is produced to the Client\'s specification.We carry a \'PFCO\'(Permission For Commercial Operation) from the CAA, which is a legal must for any drone company carrying out commercial aerial photography - also enabling us to provide Public Liability insurance to our Clients for up to £5m (£10m on request).Now, with our newly acquired RTK Octocopter added to the fleet, we are really \"pushing the envelope\" when it comes to quick but accurate aerial drone photogrammetry: we are able to carry out RICS quality topographic surveys - but without the requirement for measured in GCPs. On top of this, the drone has quadruple flight and twin power redundancy - giving \"airliner level safety\" with the reassurance of eight rotors. Finally the camera is inter-changeable to look down or up - great for bridge inspections! When you consider that this drone weighs in at less than the statutory 7Kgs laid down for flight in urban environments, you\'ll appreciate the hard work and development \'nous\' we have in our team
