Simultaneously led two teams of 5-7 engineers on the architecture and implementation for both SageSure\'s portfolio management software & agent portal software- Managed engineers specializing in software engineering (java, python, JavaScript/react, Go), big data infrastructure, ETL, catastrophe modeling, and risk analysis for insurance portfolios in catastrophe zones- Led two software teams to implement CI/CD pipelines & processes which increased deployment frequency of the teams\' services from <1x to 15x weekly- Implemented features, test coverage, and infrastructure for the SageSure Portfolio Manager application using Java / Spring, and AWS infrastructure for job orchestration and data pipelines.(AWS Glue ETL, Step functions, Athena, Glue crawler, s3, sqs, lambda)- Led architecture and did hands-on implementation for data pipelines and big data analytics for high volumes of exposure and modeling results data sets, using Glue ETL, Athena, and other AWS infrastructure- Defined objectives, led discovery, strategy, and operations for AI initiatives for engineering productivity at SageSure. Rolled out commercial LLM licenses for various foundational models to 60+ engineers, and then tracked usage and impact to continue expansion of the program- Mentored a team of frontend engineers in React & JavaScript, to improve code quality and self-organization within the team. Success was achieved through constant, low-stress delivery of bug-free code, as well as several well-earned promotions within the group- Managed the hiring process, interviewed, and onboarded several software engineers at various levels from associate to staff engineer- Supported code review for Javascript/React/Java software to accomplish consistency, quality, shared vision, and easy onboarding for new engineers - Continuously shared context & vision to enable teams to deliver thoughtful code and infrastructure which aligned with stakeholder requirements and user expectations
