Provide maintenance personnel, Maintenance Control, and Engineering Technical Services personnel with technical and troubleshooting assistance for resolution of real-time out of service, chronic aircraft issues and on-site AOG engineering support.• Generate Engineering Control (EC) documents (Engineering Orders and Authorizations, fleet campaigns, etc.) to direct the incorporation of repairs, modifications, improvements, and disposition of line troubleshooting and shop requests. • Proactively provide leadership, technical information, parts and troubleshooting input to clear deferrals, data support to outside organizations and real time out of service status to upper management. Promote continuous improvement initiatives minimizing aircraft downtime for unscheduled maintenance. Facilitate and lead ICA and technical processes and procedures improvements for maintenance personnel.• Attend and support Fleet Engineering at industry meetings. 737NG SRM Working Together Team and Boeing Technical Meetings.• Utilize ICA, operational data, OEM engineering data, other operator-shared information, etc. to continually improve the safe, efficient operation and timely support of in-service aircraft.• Coordinate with Boeing, Airbus, MRO\'s and FBO\'s for urgent AOG technical issues.• Provides technical engineering oversight/support activities at line stations and heavy maintenance MROs as required.• Ensure safe, compliant and appropriate technical engineering authorizations. • Initiate creation or revisions of Alaska Airlines procedures and specifications to extend the useful life of aircraft and components in a compliant and safe manner.• Mentor interns and new employees.
