Develop and execute the long-term distribution strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives. Drive innovation in distribution models, using technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Negotiate contracts and agreements with external distribution partners, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Monitor vendor performance and ensure they meet agreed-upon standards for quality and delivery. Enhance the customer experience through innovative distribution strategies such as same-day or next-day delivery, improved packaging, or flexible delivery options. Leverage data and analytics to improve forecasting, demand planning, and inventory control. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to distribution, including health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and transportation laws. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that distribution operations meet all workplace safety and risk management guidelines.
