As an accomplished Health and Safety professional, I have led and delivered safety performance across complex onshore and offshore projects internationally. I have managed safety from project initiation and throughout construction until final commissioning, operational handover and operations. I have operated across various roles covering complex site supervision and HSE including safety protocols, training, and coordination with major contractors. I am committed to driving safety standards, encouraging training and sharing of best practice, and utilising ongoing risk management activities to pro-actively manage safety.Throughout my career, I have been responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and environmental strategy and performance for projects. I have managed the safety requirements during construction, commissioning and operational handover including embedding safety procedures, establishing standards, systems, risk assessment processes, training and operational safety standards. I have implemented safety systems of work across the project to manage permits to work, site access, emergency response, incident management, and general method statements. I have evaluated tenders and supplier documentation and performance as well as established safety systems, reporting, and best practice across different sites with multiple contractors. This has included integrating core safety procedures across daily operations to promote safety. I have conducted regular safety audits and inspections and build a high performing and professional team to support site management and contractors throughout project lifecycles. I have chaired weekly HSE leadership and safety meetings with the client and contractors as well as having monitored leading indicators and oversaw investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses.I have expertise in behavioural and occupational safety as well as having worked throughout projects from commencement to operations. I have strong interpersonal and communication skills where I have created a dynamic and engaging safety first culture and environment across colleagues, contractors, and clients.
