About Dean Atkins

Dean is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NorthBridge Partners a commercial real estate investment firm. He shares responsibility for shaping the firm’s overall strategy, serves as General Counsel, is a member of the Investment Committee, and leads firm operations.Prior to founding NorthBridge, Dean led national and international accounts at the commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm Transwestern/RBJ (now CBRE). Earlier in his career, he practiced law in the corporate real estate section at Mintz Levin, where he managed a national leasing and asset management program for a multi-billion-dollar real estate private equity firm. While at Mintz, Dean and his team received the American Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award for their work on legislation aimed at protecting victims of sexual harassment.Dean is an active member of several boards and community organizations. He is the Co-Founder of Coffee Connectors, a program that connects first-generation college graduates with business leaders. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance (MHSA), President of the Business Associates Club, a board member at Inversant, and a trustee of the Buxton School in Williamstown, MA.Dean graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received the Morris Medal for the best thesis in History.He lives in Concord, Massachusetts with his wife, Meredith, and their three children—Caroline, Emma, and Will.
