About Deshaunda H.

As a veteran instructor in the middle and high School settings for twenty-five years, a former Assistant Director of the White Rock Hill Community Education Center in Virginia, a former Site Director at Bryn Mawr College for Project Forward Leap in charge of Residential and Academic Affairs, and current NC Private School Owner and Principal, my work with students and families of diverse backgrounds and languages is extensive. I not only have excellent conflict resolution skills, but the expertise to organize and analyze data in constructive methods that are more efficient for the operation of any program, and can construct new programs and lessons that will afford students more diverse learning opportunities for growth. In addition to having a BA in History, Education, I studied at Salem College in the English as a Second Language Program earning several credits, graduated from Cambridge College with a Masters degree in Education; and completed my Masters of Education in Administration with Principal License for grades K-12, Ed.D in Organizational Leadership, and earned my Ed.S. K-12 Leadership all from Grand Canyon University. Furthermore, I possess a certificate, Mentoring the Novice Teacher, and have training as a Teacher-Leader which gives me additional insight on how to cooperatively train and work with teachers. I am to lead and facilitate Learning Team meetings, do to my knowledge of how to unpack standards, align lessons vertically across subject matters, create common assessments, lead discussions on data feedback, and conduct professional development sessions. Furthermore, my experience as a school administrator has equipped me to work with school operations, budget and finance, and all community stakeholders who must collaborate in order to make a school community achieve greatness.
