About Demetrios Dimatos
I am lead senior software engineer working with others to develop and implement a cloud native solution that will allow for a legacy platform that spans decades of history to operate and compete in today’s technical trends. As a technical lead I drive vision, direction, design, develop, review code, interview and mentor colleges. I have led many teams including the Ansible Z offering and more recently, IBM’s IOP Hadoop where I was responsible for HDFS, MapReduce and Yarn. In the past I have designed and implemented full stack solutions surrounding administration and extract, transform, and load (ETL) tools. I have two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in Computer Science and one in Management Information Systems, as well as an Associate degree in Business. I am able to take complex problems and reduce them to smaller functional problems, analyze and solve them. I have strong analytical skills, enjoy solving difficult problems and have a natural ability to work well with others. Having been involved in a family business since a young age and later my own that employed 20 people, I understand how to communicate and deliver quality.Aside from computers, I actively mountain bike, top rope, ski and enjoy being outdoors.
