About D. Danyelle Unfit Christian Thomas
D. Danyelle Thomas is a public theologian, author, and international speaker reshaping conversations on faith, race, and liberation. As Founder of Unfit Christian, her work bridges the culture and the classroom — bringing rigorous scholarship into dialogue with lived experience, pop culture, and prophetic witness. She is the author of The Day God Saw Me as Black (Row House Publishing, 2025, 2nd Ed.) and is currently developing two major projects: The Gods We Lost, a theological critique of assimilation and abandonment, and Dominionty, a groundbreaking systematic theology that names Supremacy as a global religion.Danyelle’s work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Essence, Ebony, Sojourners, The Root, Huffington Post, NBC News, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture. She has spoken at institutions including Yale University, Tougaloo College, and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference. With a background in policy and organizational leadership, she brings analytical rigor to her theological inquiry. Her mission is simple: to write for the culture and the classroom, testifying to Black survival and liberation across pulpits, pages, and podiums.
