ABOUT DOUGLAS CAMPBELL

Experienced senior commercial lawyer with a demonstrated history of working on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects as part of multidisciplinary teams. I am General Counsel at Flotation Energy, a leading offshore wind developer, and advise on a wide range of legal matters. Previously I worked for EDP Renewables and Vattenfall where I advised on a broad mix of renewable energy projects, EV charging and emerging technologies. Prior to joining Vattenfall I worked at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP in their Energy, Projects and Construction team where I specialised in financed projects including in the renewable energy sector. I have significant experience drafting and negotiating contractual documents and I worked on primary market and secondary market transactions for both the public and private sectors. I have an MSc.(Carbon Management) from the University of Edinburgh and gained distinction for my dissertation which focussed on the legal regime governing carbon capture and storage (CCS) in the UK North Sea.
