   As the Assistant Deputy Director/Chief Technology Officer (CTO), I am responsible for managing the Lottery’s Application Services and Infrastructure office, including planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting, and directing all functions of these two offices. These offices include the Vendor Contract Management, Business Consulting Services, Enterprise Application Delivery, Customer Service Delivery, and Technology Operations Sections. I am directly responsible for policy development, technical implementation, and maintenance and support of the Lottery’s information technology systems and supporting infrastructure. I work to make sure that ITSD’s application services and infrastructure units are coordinating their activities, with the major focus of providing quality service to meet the Lottery’s business needs through the most appropriate application of technology. In addition, I oversee the management of all IT services contracts, including the $1.75 billion gaming contract and $12.5 million public website contract. I serve as a technology generalist and acts as a representative of the Lottery for internal and external contacts related to applications services and infrastructure. Assist with strategic planning of future policy and direction setting of the ITSD. Work with the IT Deputy Director and IT leadership staff to define the strategy or direction of the division based on business needs. Advise the Deputy Director of ITSD and Lottery Executive staff on various technology development issues and problems effecting the technology environment and their potential operational impact. Provide guidance and support to Lottery Executive staff and their divisions to implement their short and long range strategic plans. This will include leadership in establishing priorities for information technology projects and technology requests; oversee the management of IT projects sponsored by Lottery Executive staff.
