ABOUT DEBORAH BONETTI
Director and former President of the Foreign Press Association in London (FPA), the oldest association of foreign journalists in the world (which celebrated its 135th anniversary in 2023). I organise the programme of briefings and events at the FPA and edit the weekly newsletter. I chair Foreign Lobby briefings with n10, the FCDO and other departments of state and sit on the panel of the National Committee for the Safety of Journalists as well as on the Honorary Board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce.Now Dame Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy, I also work as UK correspondent for the Italian national daily newspaper Il Giorno, covering a variety of topics (mostly politics but also arts & culture, the Royals, etc).I have co-written a book on \"The Pandemic, Populism and the Media\"(out in 2021) and one on Brexit (2019) titled:\"Do They Mean us? The Foreign Correspondents\' View on Brexit\", published by Bite-Sized Books.
