I am passionate about mitigating the impact of catastrophic events around the globe. Not just natural disasters, such as tropical cyclones, earthquakes, floods, wildfires, tornado and hailstorms, but also large-scale man-made events such as political violence, civil unrest, terrorism and pandemics. Think about how many \"black swan events\" you have heard about just in the last few years!With climate change, globalization, population movements, and evolving political ideologies, it is becoming increasingly difficult to predict the frequency and severity of these events. At the same time, advances in technology are giving us better data and more sophisticated models. There is a steady influx of promising new entrants into the field.However, those responsible for making day-to-day risk management decisions still struggle to get real actionable analytics in a timely and efficient manner. That’s why we founded EigenRisk in 2014. Our clients now span the globe, and range from Fortune-500 insurers and brokers, to startup MGAs and Risk Managers. They use our software-as-a-service platform, EigenPrism, every day to better plan, monitor and respond to catastrophic events, and drive higher growth, customer engagement and operational efficiency.    EigenRisk was founded with the mission to bring speed-of-thought risk analytics to the (re)insurance and risk management community.This community is currently struggling with “black box modeling”, disconnected one-off tools, slow analysis times and high implementation costs. At EigenRisk, we are leveraging the latest advances in high-performance computing and big data technology to design, from the ground-up, a radically different way of consuming risk analytics in the enterprise. We believe this paradigm shift will lead to a culture of “risk ownership” as our customers are empowered to make faster and better decisions in risk selection, risk transfer and risk management.
