About Dawn Gannon
I am a nonprofit executive and Certified Association Executive with more than twenty years of experience strengthening mission driven organizations through strategic leadership, transparent governance, and operational transformation. My work focuses on helping organizations navigate complex change, strengthen their foundations, and build sustainable futures that advance their missions. As Executive Director of the iaedp Foundation, I lead strategic, operational, and financial initiatives supporting clinicians and professionals dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders worldwide. Working in partnership with the Board, staff, volunteers, and global stakeholders, I focus on strengthening governance, expanding education and certification opportunities, building meaningful collaborations across the field, and ensuring the Foundation remains a trusted global resource for professionals and the communities they serve. When I joined the organization, the Foundation faced significant financial and operational challenges. By prioritizing transparency, ethical leadership, and best practice governance, we implemented strategic restructuring, diversified revenue streams, and strengthened financial oversight. These efforts have improved operational performance, rebuilt stakeholder confidence, and positioned the organization for long term stability and growth. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with nonprofit boards and leadership teams to strengthen governance, expand international professional communities, and develop programs that advance education, collaboration, and meaningful impact. I am also proud to have served sixteen years in the United States Navy Reserve.
