About Dawn Waggoner

I\'ve been in promotions most of my adult life. However, I got most of my expertise when I created & ran my own talent-based, promotional company which were booked for large public events across the US & abroad. Plus, I\'ve always had the gift of communication, a great asset when working in marketing & promotions. This attribute alone has made me feel very comfortable in the public eye. So when working for others, my ease in ownership of the job/event lends to being mistaken for the owner of establishments. From running my own company of models, the Texas Bikini Team, I transitioned form modeling into photography. I began shooting a majority of the calendars/posters within a year of picking up a camera. I simply love seeing the beauty in someone & creating an image they are proud of showing. In the early years, I started by working for Gray Hawn Photography (Austin, TX) as an office assistant, then model for her workshops, honing my creativity from watching a master. Later I chose to work a short time in a more commercial photo studio, Glamour Shots, so I could learn more of the business end. After divorce, I sold my home & purchased modest cars for my daughter headed to college & myself, saving enough to start a photo studio. However I was cut short of that dream when cancer hit two weeks later. Even so, I am happily still shooting photos.

   Texas Bikini Team, Llc

   Creator & owner of the legendary Texas Bikini Team, a group (team of 24) of promotional swimsuit models booked at events across the nation & Caribbean. Originally designed to work custom car shows as their feature entertainment & expanded early on to include stage shows at such events. TBT quickly became a brand name & is hired for promotional events, including grand openings, conventions, movies, car shows, sporting events, attention grabbers to promote other companies. I laid it down during a divorce & am bringing it back this spring/summer as we begin our model search for new talent.
