I am a higher education professional who has helped the community college create environments where students can persist in reaching their academic and career goals. Institutions lose resources when their programs and policies are not aligned with students\' needs and expectations because students do not complete these programs. Ultimately, this affects the institution\'s reputation and funding. Using research supported approaches, I guided an academic department through program review and accreditation processes, resulting in increased enrollment, program completion and smoother transfer into 4-year college.
