About Dawn Pomeroy
Governance, Risk and Compliance leader by day. Yoga and Meditation Instructor by night. I live in two separate worlds, one filled with faced-paced timelines, spreadsheets, corporate controls, audits, cybersecurity threats, and mitigating risks, the other complete with finding stillness and quiet purpose in those spaces in between. My journey into GRC evolved naturally from a background in meteorology and risk management. My leap into yoga, conversely, began with a catastrophic sports injury, debilitating trauma, and a grueling, but successful road to recovery. Over the past few years, I have learned that I could not thrive in one space without the other, each facet of my career feeding a different aspect of what makes me a happy, well-rounded individual who finds balance in a world of opposites. My goal is to is to continue on my path, welcoming the dichotomy of living in two worlds.
