About Dawn Madon

In my Project Manager position I gained extensive experience managing projects for STD and Leave lines of business. Between projects I also cover BL and TL positions on large accounts. I manage projects on the operations side to improve process and address compliance issues in addition to addressing client needs. I am able to bounce between processes quite easily. I am able to identify the correct colleagues to get the results that are needed on a project meeting deadlines and staying within budget. As Technical Compliance Manager at Sedgwick my responsibilities included attending client-facing meetings for the purpose(s) of finalist, discovery and ongoing review of all implementation items through go-live. I worked with the client to develop communications and process, aligned with IT to review and finalize the data to be sent on the HR feed, job row, reverse feeds and custom reports, and handled training, conversion review and clean-up. Prior to working at Sedgwick my background was in Human Resources as Director of HR at IPG in Chicago, a family owned publishing company where I was hired to create an HR department and write an employee handbook from scratch. Since my previous roles had been similar start-up roles with small or non-existent HR departments, it was a welcome opportunity that I enjoyed immensely. I created an onboarding program, an internship program, a recruiting process, brought the company up to speed with compliance in areas such as HIPAA, OSHA, and EEOC, processed payroll, managed open enrollment, contract negotiations, and created and conducted all compliance training. I am SPHR certified in addition to holding my CLMS and CPDM certifications. I passed the NY Insurance Exam and am a Licensed Adjuster. I also have a formal education with a BA and an MA in English Literature in addition to an Associates in HR Management.I enjoy being on the front line of creativity and change. Having a seat at the table with the minds that are looking to create and improve processes is what I desire the most. I enjoy working with all colleagues in various career stages. I believe everyone has something wonderful to offer and I love sharing knowledge. I work autonomously and / or am able to oversee a group of staff. I bring both flexibility and stability to my role. My projects are always completed on time, if not early, and I always walk away feeling satisfied that the work was done well and that relationships were forged.
