ABOUT DAWN EDMONDSON
From 1988 until 1997, I worked in a small firm in Hendricks County first as a legal secretary and later as a paralegal. After taking a break to raise and care for my children, I returned to the legal field in 2006, joining a law firm in downtown Indianapolis and quickly moving into a paralegal position. I have handled cases and supported attorneys in multiple practice areas including: corporations (including initial corporation set-up, dissolution, mergers and acquisitions); bankruptcy; collections; insurance defense (personal injury, coverage, asbestos). In 2013, I completed my paralegal certificate through IUPUI and obtained a Bachelor’s in Law Degree in 2019. My current position entails managing case files for both asbestos and personal injury defense cases by managing trial deadlines, communications with clients, experts and opposing counsel, obtaining and reviewing medical records, drafting and responding to discovery, and drafting various pleadings and correspondence.
