About Davy Maxwell

The digital world is ever-expanding with unlimited potential, which is why I love being a part of it. Over the last 8 years, I have developed my skills in the area of digital art in order to participate in the amazing new technologies we have at our fingertips. Growing up in South Africa, traveling to dozens of countries, and immigrating to the United States has given me a unique perspective on the world, and is a tremendous source of inspiration for my work. My sights are set on creating the most compelling and inspirational experiences the digital age has to offer. After honing my skills and completing my studies at The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School, I was immediately hired to work on an exciting TV show. I was fortunate to work under an Emmy award-winning 3D artist where I learned animation and production techniques I still use today. From there, my passion for creating 3D art and animation led me to real-time engines, where I discovered the amazing new technology of Virtual Reality. Working on Ovation VR, a virtual reality public speaking trainer, I developed a pipeline for creating rigged characters from photorealistic scans of people, and completed over 500 animations. Since the beginning of my digital art career, it has been a goal of mine to start my own studio and create new and exciting experiences, innovative games, and tell compelling stories. Recently, I founded my own software studio, Engine Organic, with a team of like-minded and extremely talented developers. I\'m eager to see where this new venture takes me, and what it allows me to create. I\'m always looking to expand my network with creative and like-minded professionals.
