Anita serves as a strategic and tactical leader for minimizing billing compliance risks, and optimizing payer reimbursement. She contributes to the team with her strengths that include delivering quality communications, structuring reference content, operationalizing increased efficiencies, and collaborating broadly for innovation. At HCA Healthcare prior to her current role, Anita assisted in operationalizing the ICD-10 hospital coding education program, and integrated into multiple capacities after ICD-10 implementation to support communications, reporting, and workflow development for the Health Information Management team supporting hospital coding and billing.After holding an associate degree in health information and serving in multiple technical and leadership roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anita returned to formal studies to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration from the University of Cincinnati, and her Master of Business Administration with Healthcare Management focus from Western Governor’s University. She maintains multiple credentials in health information administration and medical coding from the American Health Information Management Association.After earning her life coaching certification in 2022, Anita has maintained an active schedule with multiple non-profit organizations providing services as a coach, mentor, and group facilitator to those experiencing challenges with life transitions. She is networking to increase her coaching/mentoring presence in organizations focused on supporting women experiencing breast cancer.
