I serve as the Regional Chair of the Orange County Regional Consortium (OCRC); comprised of 10 Community College institutions, and the main point of contact for the OCRC CEOs. Responsible for the overall management of the OCRC, and accountable for all of its functions. I manage the OCRC in conjunction with career education leaders with organizing OCRC-wide meetings, developing and managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, representing the OCRC at statewide meetings, and other operating duties of the OCRC, its policies, procedures, systems, and timelines. I lead the process for strategic planning and implementation, and ensure that the plan is in alignment with the Strong Workforce objectives and regional metrics. I provide support to the region to strengthen and expand partnerships with the OCRC including, but not limited to: business, industry, chambers, workforce development boards, and economic development corporations. I collaborate with the OCRC CEOs and college leadership to advocate for additional funding opportunities, and oversee budget development and approval to ensure fiscal transparency of all OCRC funds. I facilitate the implementation of Career Education (formerly CTE), and workforce and economic development initiatives. I collaborate with career education, workforce and economic development initiative directors, and various workforce and economic development agencies in the region to identify and develop strategies to determine work-based learning (WBL) needs for student readiness. I lead the region into a process of program development that is proactive and yields the greatest economic gains for students, business, industry, county, region and other regional stakeholders. I provide administrative oversight of regional projects and help facilitate, monitor, and leverage inter and intra-regional collaborations amongst districts, colleges, deans, faculty, K14 technical assistance provider, Center of Excellence director, and talent.
