ABOUT DAVIN HUTCHINS

Technology only matters if it moves people. For twenty years across international journalism, global campaigns, and tech and AI integration, that has been my throughline: making complex tools and ideas legible, urgent, and actionable for the people who need them most. Based in DC with serious eyes on Chicago, I am looking to network with civic organizations, foundations, and social impact campaigns ready to put that intersection to work.At Greenpeace International for eleven years, I have led global campaigns across climate, biodiversity, and social justice while helping navigate the digital and AI infrastructure those campaigns run on. Today I serve as Digital Transformation SkillShift project lead and Campaign Technology Liaison, translating between tech teams, campaign teams and HR and finance departments across a global network that spans every time zone. Before Greenpeace, I covered elections, democratic movements, refugee crises, terrorism and technological disruption for CNN, PBS, and Voice of America as a journalist and filmmaker. What I bring to the table:• AI integration and ethical adoption across large organizations• Campaign strategy and digital organizing at global and regional scale• Community engagement and civic organizing rooted in direct contact• Translating technology into tools campaigners and communities actually use• Investigative and political journalism and documentary filmmaking across three continentsOutside of professional work, I stay rooted in community through civic volunteering, canvassing for democratic participation, and local organizing. That same energy feeds M4TR, an activist music project I founded that channels political urgency into live performance at DC venues, community events, and political rallies.
