ABOUT DAVID WOOD

For more than 18 years I have been privileged to work with some of the most talented and creative people in the games industry. During this time, I have led teams at a project, department and studio level, gaining a deep understanding of how to build engaged teams that deliver fun and commercially successful video games. Throughout my career I have held various leadership roles, including Head of Production and Head of Studios at Team17, where I built the production department to oversee the studio delivery, scaled operational functions and maintained strategic oversight of a broad portfolio of internally and externally developed products for a high-growth PLC.I have contributed to the success of over 40 published games, and was the producer responsible for leading development of highly successful and well-known games including Overcooked! 2, Worms WMD and The Escapists 2. In a leadership capacity, I have overseen the delivery of a broad portfolio of games, working with a diverse range of studios to deliver games including Hell Let Loose, The Survivalists, Blasphemous and My Time at Portia.My personal leadership values are based upon honesty and transparency, setting clear expectations and building strong trusting relationships. I operate with empathy and awareness, and understand the importance of giving teams ownership over their work. I promote collaboration, foster positive relationships and build engaged teams that deliver results.
