This position provides support to Defense Health Agency (DHA) health care management officials by analyzing, evaluating, advising on and/or coordinating health care delivery systems and operations. It directs and manages quality planning activities for the DHA Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Assistant Director in the Medical Affairs Directorate (DAD-MA) and the Chief Quality Officer in the Clinical Quality Management (CQM) Branch ultimately impacting the strategic direction of clinical care, quality, safety, and graduate medical education across the Military Health System (MHS). It provides Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) to coordinate the planning of headquarters clinical quality improvement priorities to be aligned with the DHA Strategy, CQM branch strategic priorities, and Clinical Communities. It also makes recommendations to senior leadership influencing the direction and assessment of healthcare quality and identifies process improvements to standardize and improve outcomes for 9.6 million beneficiaries MHS-wide and establishes concepts, theories, or problems, or to resolve unyielding system problems.
