Based in Berlin, David Turnbull is the founder of DENIZEN, a community-driven coworking brand, and the developer and operator of ATWORLD, Europe’s largest workspace & experience platform. His work centers on reimagining how people connect, work, and thrive in urban spaces.Before turning his focus to the future of the workplace, David spent more than 20 years shaping the hospitality industry. He helped launch some of its most innovative brands, including Design Hotels, citizenM, and 25hours, and went on to co-found SnapShot, the hotel industry’s first independent data platform, acquired by Shiji Group in 2018.A natural builder of companies and communities, David was named a Global Scot in 2018, joining a worldwide network of entrepreneurial leaders supporting Scotland’s most ambitious businesses.Originally from Glasgow and raised in Wigan, he has called Berlin home since 2003, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
