Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of On.Energy, a profitable, an industrial power solutions provider executing pioneering datacenter, utility-scale, and microgrid projects in Texas, California, Mexico, and beyond. On currently owns and operates 300MWh of peak-shaving, microgrid, UPS, frequency regulation, and energy shifting projects across multiple countries, with an additional in construction. Since 2022, On.Energy has raised more than $70 million USD in topco equity and corporate financing facilities, with asset-level commitments for an additional $300 million.Prior to my role as CIO, I served as Chief Financial Officer for On.Energy managing the company from $500mm in annual revenue and a cap table that includes multiple institutional lenders and shareholders. My 7 year career with On.Energy began as the country manager of On.Energy in Mexico. During my 8 years based in Mexico City, including 4 with the company, I led the growth from concept to execution of multiple first-of-a-kind BESS projects including storage-as-a-service contracts, UPS+BESS and solar+PV microgrid solutions. My experience includes: Contract negotiation (power purchase agreements, EPCs, shareholder agreements, LTSAs etc.), capital formation and structuring (project finance, tax equity partnerships, IRA tax transfer, construction financing, permanent credit, bridge facilities), asset management (greenfield through operation), multiple equity capital raise rounds (friends/family, convertible notes, series A/B/C), financial modeling for corporate/project secured & non-recourse debt. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese with applied project experience working in both languages.
