About David Suriel

I\'m a Social Worker with over a decade of experience. It is an honor to be able to work with people, who are on their journey to healing every day and hear their stories, their pains, their troubles, as well as their strengths and successes. Most of my experience has been working with adolescents, adults, and families in home-based, outpatient mental health clinic, outpatient virtual platforms, and in school settings. Humor, creativity, and reflection are the cornerstones to my work with clients. I use a strength-based, culturally-affirming lens to my work approach. Overall, my mission is to help those in our society who are usually overlooked and disenfranchised. I want to help magnify their voice, and it all starts from the seeds of a trusting relationship that we build overtime while working together. I have found that the best way to be impactful is to help my clients tap into their insights and strengths to face the personal challenges preventing them from having the quality of life they wish to have. My role is to help them move into the driver\'s seat or to realize they have been the one steering all along.
