Family law is my passion and life\'s work. As a result, I have been designated by my peers as a Super Lawyer (top 100) in Thompson Reuters Washington Super Lawyers magazine and as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Family Law.I am a partner in the Seattle office of the Pacific Northwest boutique family law firm McKinley Irvin, PLLC. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. I concentrate my practice on divorce cases involving difficult custody matters and the protection, valuation and distribution of significant assets or business interests. I have been a life-long student of the law, and love the challenges that come with solving complex issues for my clients. This has led me to also routinely represent clients with international divorce and family law issues. I am a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and a former Chair of the ABA Section of International Law\'s Family Law Committee. I co-wrote the International Family Law chapter of the Washington Family Law Deskbook and I frequently speak around the world on international matrimonial topics. Divorce is an extremely stressful thing for anyone to go through.
