Define, develop and maintain country and regional distribution Network strategy plans based on the local market requirement which include annual costs savings targets (UK / CE and Asia)- Focusing on five to ten year sales plans delivering- Reduced cost per Sales - Improved shopping trip - Modernising Distribution Network - Reducing Environmental impactI lead network change programmes that are cross functional, national and international delivering new DC builds, modernisation of existing infrastructure and supporting new business development, including acquisitionsIn addition I manage a Network Planning team of 13 that are responsible for- Converting Distribution sales into assembly and transport plans for each of the 26 UK DC’s- Ensuring DC’s have the correct products, minimising costs and reducing lead time to customers- Day to day operational volume planning and problem resolution- Capacity management (Storage and volumes)- Christmas and event management- Programme manage 9 project managers who are responsible for opening DC’s and £10m of lean six sigma step change projects annually
